Position Summary

Basic Function/Essential Duties:

  • Provide Technical/Customer Support in one or more of the below disciplines
  • Industrial & Mobile Hydraulics
  • Truck Hydraulics
  • Pneumatics
  • Fluid Connector Products
  • Hydraulic/Pneumatic Cylinders
  • Answer and respond to internal and external customer inquiries while maintaining a high customer satisfaction level through phone, email and CRM support
  • Provide application assistance
  • Provide product selection, competitive part number cross referencing
  • Load new product part numbers into Parker’s operating system
  • Load product shop orders (Conversions)
  • Communicate effectively with all internal and external customers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with source division(s)
  • Identify tactical lean opportunities and develop corrective initiatives to achieve department continuous improvement goals
  • Perform other duties/tasks as assigned
  • Understand the Parker WIN Strategy

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Post secondary education in Applied Technology or Engineering
  • Minimum 1-year related work experience

Certifications

  • Fluid Power Certificate is an asset

Skills

  • Proficient at reading drawings and specifications
  • Advanced computer skills – Access, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills for effective interaction with all internal and external contacts
  • Ability to prioritize, meet commitments, take ownership, problem solve and be proactive while working in a team environment and providing excellent customer service
  • Change agent
  • Superior follow up and organizational skills
  • Adaptability and flexibility combined with a commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently with minimum direction
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset
