We are recruiting for a Data Coordinator to join our Toronto Team.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a Data Coordinator to join our team, who is an inquisitive knowledge seeker with an innovative and analytical mindset. The ideal candidate would have skills and experience in manipulating and extracting data from various data sources, reporting, as well as good skills in Microsoft Excel.

Position Summary

In your role of the Data Coordinator, you will be responsible for guaranteeing the integrity and precision of the data stored in our Risk database. Specifically, you will perform and provide technical support in data cleaning, manipulation, analysis, and presentation of data to contribute to data-informed decision-making.

Key Accountabilities

  • A significant component of this role is to assess data quality and define business rules for handling source data.
  • Monthly and quarterly processing of large amounts of data to enable timely analysis.
  • Performing primary research, data analysis and data correlation on assigned research topics using pre-made data sets.
  • Responsible for addressing and resolving questions, identifying and resolving any gaps or misinformation in data.
  • Work collaboratively with Risk, Inspections and other functional areas’ team members to evaluate internal systems for efficiency, problems, and inaccuracies, and develop and maintain protocols for handling, processing, and cleaning data.
  • Work directly with end-users to understand requirements, provide status updates, validate solutions and build relationships.
  • Continuously refine and update workflows and reports based on evolving business needs.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.


Professional Experience / Qualifications

  • Post secondary education in Business Administration, Information Technology or a degree in related field of study.
  • 3+ years of operational experience.
  • Experience working with large volumes of data in Excel and strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to create data reports and explain workflows.
  • Strong command of the English language, verbal and written, with exceptional presentation skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to forge collaborative working relationships with cross functional teams.
  • Adaptive with strong ability to work in a team or independently with minimal supervision, strong collaborative and project management skills.
  • Well versed in all Microsoft Suite applications.
