The Opportunity: As an integral part of the Mobile Diabetes Clinic, and in collaboration with other health providers, the Diabetes Educator implements and delivers a range of diabetes services to communities. These range from health promotion initiatives, to a series of primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention objectives aimed at increasing First Nations access to diabetes care/education, and improving overall health outcomes.

- Advocates for First Nations affected by diabetes, and related health conditions.
- Plans and implements diabetes care goals across the lifespan (high risk individuals, Pre-Diabetes, Gestational Diabetes, Type 2 Diabetes, etc.).
- Maintains thorough and up-to-date paper and/or electronic client records as per governing college.
What You Will Bring To The Role
- Registered RN, LPN, RD, or RPh - current registration with related professional body
- Certified Diabetes Educator or willingness to work towards competency
- Acceptable experience in a clinical health setting or cross-cultural health promotion field
