The Opportunity
AgeCare Seton (311 beds of LTC, SL4 and SL4D) is seeking a compassionate and experienced Director of Care to oversee the coordination and scheduling of resident care activities in compliance with applicable legislation. You will lead a large interdisciplinary team that includes Resident Care Managers, RNs, LPNs, HCAs, Educators, Occupational Therapists, Dietician, Recreation Therapists and Social Worker. You will also be responsible for maintaining an atmosphere that fosters the health and wellness of both residents and staff members.
As the Director of Care, you will lead the team in ensuring the highest standard of care and quality of life for the residents through effective management and coordination.

What Is In It For You:
- Resident & Family Interaction: Address concerns and ensure action is taken in a timely manner. Escalate as needed to the Administrator.
- Complaint & Concern Management: Report and investigate any concerns raised by residents or families, ensuring timely resolution.
- Care Conference Coordination: Oversee the Annual Care Conference Program.
- Quality of Care: Accountable for ensuring that the highest standard of care and quality of life is consistently provided. You’ll supervise nursing staff, maintain care plans, manage equipment and supplies, and ensure appropriate staffing.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive clinical leadership experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as RN in Long-Term Care and SL4/D.
- Experienced in managing interdisciplinary team.
- A current certificate of competence with the provincial College of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
- Post-secondary education in nursing, nursing administration, or gerontology.
- A diploma or certificate in organizational management.
