Responsibilities
- Monitor and record data for time studies for jobs being completed by production.
- Record product input and output in FAMOUS.
- Track FAMOUS tags from product pallets and record.
- Match PO numbers to completed orders, record customer information (PO, destination, commodity, and quantity) and label accordingly.
- Prepare packaging materials for future production runs.
- Maintain all computer and label technology, report issues to supervisor.
- Ensure appropriate product inventory levels, tag completed jobs, tag back remaining product and document.
- Communicate with purchasing department to control incoming raw packing materials; communicate all variances in packaging or quality to management.
- Monitor FAMOUS continually for changes and new orders, record on the production board.
- Accurately record all lot codes for packaging material to maintain food safety traceability.
- Monitor quantity and quality of product to ensure standards are met; report any/all food safety concerns to personnel with authority.
- Ensure compliance for GMPS, SOP’s, policies & procedures.
- Prepare samples and assist the production supervisor clerical duties as required.
- Fill in for any other Document Technician.
- Other core expectations as defined by the company.
- High school diploma required; Post secondary education in a Business discipline or a post graduate certificate preferred.
- Two to three (2-3) years experience in record management in the produce industry preferred.
- Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices, Health and Safety, and Food Safety.
- Experience with ERP software FAMOUS preferred.
- Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Suite software experience is required.
- Numeric literacy, math and problem-solving skills required.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to consistently provide accurate results.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision; provide leadership when needed.
- Excellent organizational skills required and must possess the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
