Your Work Environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Oil, Gas, and Chemical team, based in the Brampton, ON office, and can be responsible for delivering the instrumentation system design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance for projects in the oil and gas industry. The role requires expertise in instrumentation design, instrument material selection, fabrication, and installation procedures. The Instrumentation Designer must ensure that all instrument systems comply with industry standards and project specifications and that they are installed and maintained safely and efficiently.

Your Work Environment at EXP
In this role, you will be a part of the Oil, Gas, and Chemical team, based in the Brampton, ON office, and can be responsible for delivering the instrumentation system design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance for projects in the oil and gas industry. The role requires expertise in instrumentation design, instrument material selection, fabrication, and installation procedures. The Instrumentation Designer must ensure that all instrument systems comply with industry standards and project specifications and that they are installed and maintained safely and efficiently.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Provide design for electrical equipment and systems and prepare electrical deliverables in compliance with applicable North American codes and standards.
- Review multidiscipline drawings, layouts, and documents and prepare electrical deliverables based on the project requirements.
- Revise electrical engineering drawings and documents to comply with client’s project requirements, specifications, and comments.
- Hands-on knowledge of Electrical requirements.
- Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering designer experience for Chemical plants.
- Hands-on experience with 3D SP modeling of electrical cable trays, etc.
- Extensive experience in the design of lighting, grounding, power, and control layouts.
- Experience in electrical MTO estimations.
- Expert/working skills with AutoCAD.
