Trans Mountain Corporation operates Canada’s only pipeline system transporting oil products to the West Coast. We deliver approximately 890,000 barrels of petroleum products each day through a dual pipeline system of more than 1,150 kilometres of pipeline in Alberta, British Columbia and Washington state.
Trans Mountain also operates a state-of-the-art loading facility, Westridge Marine Terminal, with three berths providing tidewater access to global markets.

The Emergency Response Coordinator's main responsibility is to support the implementation of Trans Mountain’s Emergency Management Program. The Emergency Response Coordinator will work with and support the Emergency Response Advisors to implement the Emergency Management Program in compliance with regulations.
This is a 7-to-10-month contract position based in the Calgary Head Office reporting to the Manager, Emergency Response.

In Alberta, the pipeline system spans the traditional territories of Treaty 6, 7 and 8, and the Métis Nation of Alberta (Zone 4).
In British Columbia, the system crosses the traditional territories of numerous First Nations that are affiliated with the Secwepemc, Dakelh (Carrier), Nlaka'pamux, Syilx/Okanagan, Interior and Coast Salish, Stó:lo, as well as the Métis.
Trans Mountain also operates through 15 First Nation Reserves located within the region spanning the BC interior through Fraser Valley.

The Emergency Response Coordinator's main responsibility is to support the implementation of Trans Mountain’s Emergency Management Program. The Emergency Response Coordinator will work with and support the Emergency Response Advisors to implement the Emergency Management Program in compliance with regulations.
This is a 7-to-10-month contract position based in the Calgary Head Office reporting to the Manager, Emergency Response.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the coordination and delivery of emergency response exercises.
- Update weekly activity reports.
- Attend on-line provincial emergency management update meetings.
- Develop internal emergency management newsletters.
- Assisting with the implementation of the Community Awareness Emergency Response (CAER) Program and Responder newsletter.
- Ensuring that all documentation to support regulatory compliance are retained as per regulatory requirements including tracking corrective action plans resulting from reviews of exercises, and management system documentation.
- Assist with coordinating training courses by overseeing invitations and logistical items.
- Monitor and manage the Emergency Management Outlook in-box.
- Recent and extensive experience utilizing the Microsoft Suite of applications including Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point.
- Post-Secondary Education preferred in a discipline related to Emergency Management.
- 1 to 3 years’ experience in role that includes management system documentation, and technical writing.
- General understanding of pipeline operations, General understanding of emergency management, Fire Fighting and Oil Spill Response.
- Confidence and ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization, external customers, and suppliers.
- Ability to write clearly and concisely for different types of audiences and deliver presentations.
- Flexible and able to work effectively within a team and maintain a professional and respectful manner with co-workers and external parties.
- Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines during critical times.
- Ability to travel for work.
