- Executive Recruitment Delivery:
- Lead the end-to-end process for executive roles (Director and Vice President level), including research, sourcing and screening, candidate submissions, interview process management, approvals, complex offer negotiations, references, and pre-boarding support.
- Manage a portfolio of executive level requisitions across all departments, supporting and advising hiring executives through each phase of the recruitment process. Ensure all hiring decisions are fully aligned with Maple Leaf’s Leadership Values .
- Act as a champion to deliver on Maple Leaf’s commitments to diversity, equity and inclusion in the recruitment process, leading our efforts to attract, engage, and hire executive talent from underrepresented communities.
- Candidate Experience:
- Ensure a positive, respectful, and inclusive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment experience, including candidate scheduling and interview logistics in partnership with Executive Assistants and HR Partners.
- Provide timely and ongoing feedback to executive candidates, including external candidates and internal Maple Leaf employees under consideration.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Proactively partner with senior leadership and hiring leaders to understand their teams, and the specific needs and requirements of each executive role.
- Facilitate recruitment status meetings and deliver strategic insights to the leadership team regarding market trends, compensation benchmarks, and talent mapping.
- Partner with HR colleagues on complex and confidential recruitment initiatives. Act as a trusted collaborator across HR Operations, Total Rewards, and Talent Management.
- Data-Driven Decision Making:
- Utilize data analytics and reporting tools to measure recruitment processes, gaps, and recommended action plans.
- As required, identify and incorporate candidate assessments and psychometrics to support recruitment and selection decisions.
- Talent Acquisition Partnering:
- Act as a coach and mentor to Talent Acquisition and HR colleagues looking to develop their knowledge, skills, and competencies within the recruitment industry.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition peers to lead or contribute to recruitment projects, programs, and process improvement initiatives.
- Provide insights into talent and CPG market intelligence, executive compensation packages, and other talent trends to support the broader Human Resources function.
- Proven and recurring success in a corporate, in-house executive recruitment environment, with demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of senior level roles – more than typically handled in a third-party or retained search setting.
- Established network within the executive community, with strong engagement and relationships with industry professionals.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders. The ideal candidate has a portfolio of examples to validate their Executive Recruitment communication skills, including Candidate Briefs, Weekly Status Reports, and Executive Role Summaries.
- Expertise in executive compensation, with a high degree of comfort in managing equity-based compensation negotiations and calculations.
- Demonstrated success in supporting and advancing commitments to diversity and inclusion for Director+ recruitment initiatives.
- Proficiency in using HRIS, talent acquisition platforms and MS Office programs and tools.
- Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
