Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is currently seeking a Field Service Technician. This on-site position that is based out of our Delta, BC Eaton location and requires local travel to customer sites.
The expected annual salary range for this role is $62,000 - $92,000 a year. You are also eligible for overtime compensation.

The individual will be responsible for servicing uninterruptible power supplies and batteries and other company electronic-based products in a high voltage environment at the customer’s site.

Essential Functions
- Performs emergency and preventive maintenance and installation on a 24/7 on-call basis with regional responsibility.
- Responsible for performing on-site or in-house servicing and repair of company products.
- Provides technical support to customers on operational or maintenance aspects of system equipment.
- Serves as customer contact on technical and service-related problems.

Basic Qualifications (Must have):
- College degree/diploma from an accredited institution in any of the following disciplines: Electrical, Electronics, Engineering Technology OR Red Seal (309A) Interprovincial Journeyman Electrician Certification/Ticket
- One (1) year of experience with UPS (uninterruptable power supplies) OR battery technologies OR electronics experience
- Candidates must reside within 80km of Delta, British Columbia, Canada
- Candidates must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
- Must possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver's license.
- Required to travel to US for product and safety training when necessary
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Basic understanding of UPS rectifier or inverter
- Basic understanding of electrical distribution systems and schemes
- Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where considerable judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations.
- Customer focus and time management skills are essential.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer relations skills.
- Works from home when not in the field supporting Eaton customers.
- Company vehicle, tools, cell phone, laptop, and work boot allowance provided.
- Must complete our training program which requires ability to travel to USA for product & safety training.
