We are currently seeking a Field Technician to join our Geotechnical Instrumentation and Monitoring team. As a key member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and performance of geotechnical instrumentation systems at various construction sites.

Your work environment at EXP
We are currently seeking a Field Technician to join our Geotechnical Instrumentation and Monitoring team. As a key member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and performance of geotechnical instrumentation systems at various construction sites.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Perform comprehensive field monitoring of ground, subsoil, structures, geo-structures, tunnels, and utility movements.
- Conduct groundwater level and porewater pressure measurements.
- Carry out field surveying activities to gather accurate data.
- Perform safety and hazard analyses, ensuring a secure working environment.
- Install and maintain instrumentation systems, utilizing power tools for repair, installation, and decommissioning.
- Supervise drilling activities as required.
- Monitor construction activities, providing real-time feedback and insights.
- College Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
- Ability to understand and resolve problems efficiently on construction sites.
- Proficiency in reading drawings and specifications.
- Diplomacy and tact in interactions with staff, clients, consultants, and contractors.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with acute attention to detail.
- Capability to write clear and concise field reports, including recommendations.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for travel to construction sites.
- Physical fitness for handling equipment and construction materials.
