Your work environment at EXP

We are currently seeking a Field Technician to join our Geotechnical Instrumentation and Monitoring team. As a key member, you will play a vital role in ensuring the integrity and performance of geotechnical instrumentation systems at various construction sites.

What a day at EXP has in store for you

  • Perform comprehensive field monitoring of ground, subsoil, structures, geo-structures, tunnels, and utility movements.
  • Conduct groundwater level and porewater pressure measurements.
  • Carry out field surveying activities to gather accurate data.
  • Perform safety and hazard analyses, ensuring a secure working environment.
  • Install and maintain instrumentation systems, utilizing power tools for repair, installation, and decommissioning.
  • Supervise drilling activities as required.
  • Monitor construction activities, providing real-time feedback and insights.

What Your Experience Looks Like

  • College Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or a related field.
  • Ability to understand and resolve problems efficiently on construction sites.
  • Proficiency in reading drawings and specifications.
  • Diplomacy and tact in interactions with staff, clients, consultants, and contractors.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Capability to write clear and concise field reports, including recommendations.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle for travel to construction sites.
  • Physical fitness for handling equipment and construction materials.
