Location

This is a hybrid/remote position. You can work from home and be located anywhere in Canada. If you are located in Ottawa, Canada you will work a hybrid schedule where you will be required to be in office for 3 days per week.

About The Team

The Financial Contracts Specialist is responsible for supporting the execution and compliance of customer subscription contracts throughout their lifecycle. The position plays a key role in maintaining the accuracy of financial data in Salesforce and other systems, coordinating onboarding activities, and supporting accurate processing of partner referral fees and private marketplace offers.

This position will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Sales, Deal Desk, Billing, Legal, and Order fulfillment to ensure contractual obligations are met and issues are addressed in a timely and compliant manner.

What you will do

  • Support the review and tracking of customer subscription contracts to ensure alignment with licensing and financial terms
  • Coordinate with order fulfillment team to facilitate delivery of license keys and milestone-based deliverables
  • Execute onboarding activities for new customers and partners using established checklists and processes
  • Assist the Sales team in identifying and escalating delivery or compliance risks related to contract terms
  • Maintain documentation related to referral fee agreements, support calculation and processing based on standard terms
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of private marketplace offers (e.g. Google or Microsoft) with oversight from senior team members
  • Support the resolution of contract-related issues in collaboration with the billing team.
  • Partner with the Deal Desk team in preparing standardized order forms and ensuring accuracy of contract inputs
  • Update Salesforce and other systems of record with contract and financial information in a timely and accurate manner
  • Participate in special projects and ad hoc tasks as assigned

What we are looking for

  • Post-secondary degree in Finance, business or related
  • 3+ years of relevant experience in finance operations, contract administration, or order management, ideally in a SaaS or technology environment
  • Familiarity with CRM and Financial systems such as Salesforce, experience with tools like NetSuite considered an asset
  • Understanding of Saas subscription models and contract lifecycle processes.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks under set timelines
  • Detail-oriented approach with consistent execution and follow-through
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills working with both internal teams and external partners
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 including Excel, Word, Powerpoint
