Your work environment at EXP
EXP is seeking a Geotechnical Instrumentation and Monitoring Project Manager to join our expanding Brampton, ON office.
What a day at EXP has in store for you
- Manage and oversee the execution of geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring projects, including installation, data acquisition, analysis, and reporting.
- Coordinate with clients, design teams, and contractors to develop project-specific monitoring strategies and work plans.
- Lead the preparation of technical submittals, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Supervise and support field teams in the installation and commissioning of sensors and data logging systems.
- Manage procurement, subcontractors, and logistics for monitoring devices and services.
- Ensure project compliance with technical specifications, safety standards, and quality assurance protocols.
- Review and interpret data to ensure accuracy and reliability. Provide technical reporting and response action plan.
- Maintain communication with stakeholders and provide regular project updates.
- Support business development by participating in proposal writing, budgeting, and client meetings.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Registered Professional Engineering in Ontario (P.Eng)
- Minimum 7–10 years of experience in geotechnical instrumentation and monitoring projects.
- Proven project management experience, ideally in infrastructure, transit, or tunneling projects.
- Familiarity with a range of monitoring tools and platforms (e.g., VW systems, robotic total stations, T4D, GeoMoS, or similar).
- Strong understanding of field operations, data validation, and geotechnical interpretation.
- Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites as needed.
