What You’ll Be Doing

Duties and Responsibilities

  • This role will start as an in-shop role based at our Richmond, BC location for the first ~3 months before transitioning to a mainly field-based role.
  • Inspect, service and maintain a diverse fleet of construction equipment including (but not limited to) earth-moving equipment, compaction equipment, and aerial equipment such as telehandlers, boom lifts and scissor lifts on customer jobsites around Lower Mainland BC.
  • Diagnose equipment malfunctions and make required repairs, testing repaired equipment for proper performance on customer jobsites (or in the shop as needed).
  • Provide a high standard of customer service in all interactions with customers.
  • Maintain documentation of inspections, maintenance, and work orders in a thorough and timely manner.
  • Adhere to all company Health and Safety Policies.
  • Assist in the repair of hard down equipment.
  • Assist in upkeeping the annuals due on contract in the region.

Qualifications And Requirements

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Minimum 4 years of mechanical experience required, working on a variety of construction equipment.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points).
  • 421A or 310T license is preferred.
  • Must be available and willing to work overtime and on an on-call rotation.
  • Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps, and motors.
  • Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
