Job Title: Horticulture Trainer – GoMaterials Horticulture School Coordinator

Location: Montreal, QC , remote

Commitment: Part-time. Approximately 40–50 hours over 2–3 weeks.

Position Overview

We are seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Horticulture Trainer to deliver our specialized Horticulture School program to our operations team. This program encompasses essential industry topics, including:

• Plant naming conventions
• Sizing standards
• Packaging methods
• Plant forms and categories
• Quality grading
• Shipping procedures
  
  

The trainer will guide new team members through the curriculum, reinforcing key concepts, administering prepared assessments, and supporting hands-on learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• We will be providing you with all relevant course material*
• Deliver structured training sessions in an engaging and practical manner
• Facilitate discussions and hands-on activities to reinforce learning
• Administer and evaluate prepared exams to assess trainee comprehension
• Provide mentorship and support to trainees throughout the program
  
  

Qualifications

• Background in horticulture or green industry experience
• Passion for teaching and mentoring new team members
• Ability to deliver structured training confidently and engagingly
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be available to work part-time during standard business hours (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM) to align with our employees' schedules.
• The role entails approximately 40–50 hours of training over a 2–3 week period, with an estimated commitment of 8–9 sessions annually.
