This is a Permanent Part-Time position with 27 hours bi-weekly.

Schedule

  • Sun 2pm-7pm
  • Mon OFF
  • Tues OFF
  • Wed OFF
  • Thurs OFF
  • Fri 2pm-7pm
  • Sat 2pm-7pm

Wage Leveling rate of pay $24.08 per hour until such time that wage leveling ends, then the pay rate will reflect the collective agreement pay rates.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be a welcomed member of the Retirement team, working in a fast-paced environment where you will make a meaningful difference in residents’ lives. As a Housekeeper you will do meaningful work everyday ensuring a safe and clean environment for residents’. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

How You’ll Succeed

  • Provide Thorough Cleaning within the Retirement Home:
  • Receive assignments, gather materials, and transport supplies to work area.
  • Perform a variety of cleaning tasks including:
    • Resident room cleaning as per assigned schedule.
    • Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and shampooing carpets.
    • Spot cleaning walls, windows, and doors.
    • Dusting and sanitizing furniture, shelves, and woodwork.
    • Emptying wastebaskets and rearranging furniture.
    • Daily cleaning and disinfecting of bathrooms, including floors, fixtures, and walls.
  • Prepare rooms for new occupants, ensuring they are tour-ready at all times.
  • Provide Resident Privacy and Room Preparation:
  • Ensure residents' privacy is respected during cleaning duties.
  • Prepare rooms for new occupants according to prescribed procedures, ensuring they are tour-ready at all times.
  • Perform any other assigned duties as needed.
Who You Are

  • You are compassionate and dedicated to meaningful work that supports seniors in living life fully
  • You are detailed-oriented and have and have strong customer service skills and ability to effectively communicate with residents and staff.

What You Need To Know
