Reporting to Electrical Maintenance Supervisor, the Instrumentation Technician’s primary responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

- Safe and efficient installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of a range of industrial machinery, electrical and instrumentation systems, controls and ancillary equipment;
- Supporting the operation in preventative, corrective and reactive maintenance work processes and providing feedback to optimize plant reliability;
- Adhering to and promoting all safety policies and procedures;
- Identifying and recommending opportunities for improvement of area activities
- Perform daily tasks documenting activities using Computer Maintenance Management Systems.
- Certificate of Qualification as Instrumentation and Control Technician (447A) would be an asset
- Inspect and test operation of instruments and systems to diagnose faults using pneumatic, electrical and electronic testing devices and precision measuring instruments
- Repair and adjust system components, such as sensors, transmitters and programmable logic controllers, or remove and replace defective parts
- Education training and experience in process automation and control.
- A motivated attitude, a dynamic approach to getting tasks complete, and pride in accomplishment and craftsmanship;
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work and complete test and maintenance reports
- Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with power distribution systems would be an asset
