International Operations Coordinator
Olympic Industries ULC

Who We’re Looking For
We’re searching for a detail-oriented problem solver with a Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Business Administration, Forestry, or a related field (or an equivalent mix of education and experience). Some exposure to operations, logistics, or accounting is a bonus, but what matters most is your eagerness to learn and grow alongside our in-office International team.
You’re comfortable using Microsoft Excel at an intermediate level and confident navigating tools like Outlook and Word to keep things organized and running smoothly.
You’ll thrive in this role if you are:
- Curious & coachable – you ask questions, welcome feedback, and quickly master new systems
- Collaborative – you enjoy working side‑by‑side with teammates and building strong relationships across departments
- Clear & confident in communication – you keep everyone in the loop, whether solving shipment issues or double‑checking an invoice
- Organized & detail‑oriented – you maintain accuracy while juggling multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
- Adaptable & solution‑focused – you stay calm under pressure and pivot smoothly when plans change
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of International Department & Trade Compliance, the International Operations Coordinator plays a key role in supporting our global supply chain. You’ll help ensure inventory accuracy, manage critical documentation, and coordinate directly with ports, shipping lines, and financial partners to keep shipments moving.
This is a full-time, in-office role where you’ll work closely with our experienced Traders and Operations team—gaining hands-on exposure to how international lumber trades are executed from start to finish.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining accurate shipping records and supporting inventory tracking across all locations
- Coordinating import and export shipments with reload sites, shipping lines, ports, and banks
- Reviewing and preparing documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and Phyto Certificates
- Invoicing customers and verifying incoming charges for accuracy before forwarding to Accounts Payable
- Communicating with Traders to confirm shipment details and resolve discrepancies
We provide the tools and support you need to succeed—prior industry experience is helpful but not required. Your attention to detail, willingness to learn, and ability to build strong working relationships will set you up for success.
