Schedule: Monday to Friday

Compensation: Competitive wages (based on experience) + performance bonuses

Position Summary

Are you an experienced landscape professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for high-quality craftsmanship? Our client is seeking a Landscape Construction Team Leader to oversee and execute premium outdoor projects. If you're a hands-on expert who thrives in dynamic environments, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret and work from construction blueprints and layouts
  • Measure and mark site features and elevations
  • Operate a variety of landscape construction equipment, both large and small
  • Lead and supervise a crew of 2-3 team members
  • Construct stone retaining walls and interlocking stone features
  • Manage softscape elements such as site grading, planting, and sod installation
  • Install and troubleshoot low-voltage landscape lighting systems
  • Coordinate all phases of each project from start to finish
  • Ensure job site safety, productivity, and high-quality execution
  • Communicate with clients on-site when necessary, providing courteous and professional service
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in landscape construction
  • Proven ability to lead and manage a small team
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for horticulture and outdoor construction
  • Solid knowledge of plant materials and landscaping tools/equipment
  • Valid G-Class Driver's License with a clean driving record (A or D License is an asset)

Working Conditions

  • Primarily outdoor work on client properties
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions
  • Physically demanding role involving frequent lifting and repetitive motions
  • Requires kneeling, bending, squatting, climbing, twisting, and standing for long periods
  • Daily travel to job sites required
