Job Description

The Package Center Associate position is responsible for handling package operations, including loading, unloading, shipping, receiving, and sorting. This position requires maintaining safety standards, operating equipment, and delivering excellent customer service.

Job Type: Part-Time Permanent

Work Location: 425 Madsen Rd, Nanaimo BC V9S 5X3

Workdays: Monday through Friday

(Candidates must be available to work all five days, with a minimum commitment of 25 hours per week.)

Shift Hours: 3:30 PM to 8:30 PM

Wage: $17.85/hr.

Key Responsibilities

• Load, unload, scan, sort, and stock packages efficiently
• Provide outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
• Assist customers with shipping needs and offer effective solutions
• Operate equipment, software, and tools while training others as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Perform other assigned tasks as required
  
  

Requirements

• Ability to lift 70lbs./32 kgs unassisted
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency of Microsoft Applications and Adobe Suites
• High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
• Availability to work flexible shift hours, up to 5 days per week
  
  

Compensation And Benefits

• Pay rate: $17.85/hr. With annual performance increases

• Weekly Pay via Direct Deposit- Every Friday
