Eaton’s Electrical sector is currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join our team. This position is based at our Delta, BC facility and offers benefits from day one.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $80,000 - $95,000 a year plus bonus. You are also eligible for an overtime compensation.

Our Delta-Satellite is a key hub office for Eaton's electrical sector in Canada, located in Delta, British Columbia. This central location hosts essential departments such as Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Operations, Supply Chain, and Customer service. The Delta site is designed to support a collaborative and innovative work environment. Its proximity to major highways and public transportation provides convenient access for commuting professionals, while nearby parks, rivers, and recreational facilities offer options for relaxation and wellness.

The Delta location is one of six Eaton Satellite locations across Canada. The Satellites comprise of smaller to medium assemble-to-order facilities and complement our large manufacturing facilities within Canada. Local site product lines may include standard panel boards, switchboard, control and custom control product assemblies.

What You’ll Do

Performance Management :

  • Supervise production employees and coordinate workforce to ensure customer and operational requirements are being met.
  • Supervise manufacturing employees involved in the assembly process including performance, absenteeism and vacations.
  • Risk Management:
  • Responsible for continuing Eaton’s zero-incident safety culture in and keeping safety as the top priority in all decision-making processes.
  • Proactively implement, promote and maintain a safe working environment through diligence in accident prevention, investigation, equipment maintenance and rule enforcement to safety legislative and company requirements.
  • Manage and enforce safety and housekeeping standards including maintaining equipment and work areas in a clean, organized and orderly condition.
  • Provide all job functions with adherence to Eaton’s Philosophy and Values, as well as safety and environmental standards.
  • Supervisory:
  • Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels.
  • Maintain and control adequate inventory of tools for employees.
  • Continuous improvement:
  • Facilitate continuous improvement opportunities with an emphasis on identifying cost-savings.
  • Promote quality objectives by clarifying quality standards and goals to production employees, as well as monitoring and improving systems in place to maximize quality and productivity.
  • Apply Lean manufacturing at a departmental level using lean tools and philosophies.
  • Communication:
  • Report production progress to applicable parties, e.g Satellite Manager, Shipping, Marketing. Communicate and escalate process issues and opportunities that arise.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • College diploma or University degree or Red Seal (309A) Interprovincial Journeyman Electrician Certification
  • Experience in a production / manufacturing environment.
  • Candidates must reside within 80km of Delta, BC, no relocation is provided.
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience in a production environment.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement techniques.
