CNL's Historic Waste Program Management Office is in Port Hope, Ontario's beautiful and historic community. What will you be doing!
- Leading technical direction, stakeholder management, communication plan, resources (internal/external) management and execution of overall client initiative with an integrated team approach.
- Building and sustaining a positive, inclusive work environment.
- Motivating the team to deliver quality results on time and budget.
- Defining roles and responsibilities and setting goals.
- Managing the performance of collective and individual team members.
- Mentoring, coaching, and instructing team members for success in project management, leadership, and business delivery.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
- Education
- A degree or diploma from a college/university relevant to construction project management, civil, geotechnical, chemical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent, and a track record for leading large projects from definition, budgeting, design, through to construction.
- Experience
- 8+ years progressively responsible project experience, preferably related to large construction and/or remediation projects.
- Supervising the work of contractors, consultant engineers, and vendors in field work and construction oversight.
- Requires experience with project management software, tools and practices used to plan, execute and control projects.
- Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, resourcing, contract management, and progress reporting for an executive audience.
- Applies all of the nine project management knowledge areas (i.e., Scope; Cost; Time; QA; Communications; Human Resources; Risk; Procurement; Integration).
- Demonstrated project management skills.
- Knowledge of remediation projects and processes.
- Ability to manage civil projects.
- Knowledge of construction safety measures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the nuclear industry.
- Excellent team-building and consensus-reaching skills.
- Security Clearance Eligibility Required
- Reliability Status with Site Access Security Clearance (SASC), which has a minimum requirement of 3-5 years of verifiable history in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the United States and/or the United Kingdom. CNL implements security screening in accordance with the Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat's “Standard on Security Screening” and the “Policy on Government Security.”
- Frequent site visits will be required, depending on the project's stage, and will necessitate the use of all applicable safety equipment and strict adherence to safe work and radiation protection policies and practices.
