What You’ll Be Doing

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspect, maintain, and repair diesel powered generators and diesel pumps, as well as electric submersible pumps of various voltages.
• Assist with cleaning equipment and organizing equipment in the yard.
• Maintain documentation of inspections, maintenance, and work orders in a complete and timely manner.  
• Occasionally service generators and pumps on customer jobsites (primarily an in-shop position).
• Provide a high standard of customer service in all interactions with customers. 
• Assist with equipment deliveries and equipment set-up/tear down on customer jobsites occasionally.
• Deliver/pick-up parts as needed.
• Adhere to company Health and Safety Policies. 
  
  

Qualifications And Requirements

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• At least 1 to 3 years of mechanical experience. Prior mechanical experience with pumps and/or generators is an asset.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical systems and components. Experience with 12volt dc and ac power systems is an asset.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines is required. Understanding of Tier 4 emissions and diesel pumps is an asset.
• Valid class G driver’s license with clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points).
• Must have a complete set of tools (or be working on obtaining a complete set of tools).
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed, and to work on an on-call rotation.
• Thorough understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
• Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, and a high degree of professionalism.
• Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
