Quality Assurance Manager

Our Company:

ENKON Information Systems Inc. implements web-enabled Land Information Systems for clients around the world. We are an innovative company with offices in Victoria, B.C and Seattle Washington. We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to join our growing team. As a QA Manager at ENKON, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our SaaS products. You will work closely with our development team to identify and resolve issues and contribute to the continuous improvement of our software solutions.

The position will be at our office in Victoria, BC.

Key Responsibilities and Required Qualifications are as follows:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts based on software requirements and specifications.
  • Perform manual and automated testing to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and provide feedback on software functionality and usability.
  • Document and track defects using bug tracking tools, and work with the development team to ensure timely resolution.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of test environments and test data.
  • Participate in review meetings and contribute to discussions on software quality and testing processes.
  • Continuously explore and suggest improvements to testing methodologies and tools.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in managing a QA group.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in software testing, with a strong understanding of QA methodologies and best practices.
  • Familiarity with manual and automated testing tools and techniques.
  • Experience with testing SaaS applications is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively manage a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.
