Quality Assurance Technician (Night Shift)

Role:

Sunrise is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, detail-oriented individual, who is a strong team player and can work with minimal supervision and show sound judgment. This position is available in the Lethbridge plant 11:00pm – 7:30am (Monday – Friday) and weekends as scheduled.

Responsibilities:

• HACCP Monitoring – critical controls
• Monthly Audits / Inspections – GMP, Facility
• Product sampling and quality testing online
• Microbiological swabbing of equipment surfaces, plating
• Operational condition monitoring – temperatures, plant conditions
• Pre-operational inspections – visual / smell (Evis/Production)
• Equipment Calibrations / monitoring
• Data entry tasks
• Record verification tasks
• Other tasks as assigned
  
  

Requirements:

• Have working knowledge of Microsoft programs.
• Be fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Be available for overtime if the processing schedule requires it.
• Be a fast learner.
• Be able to work under extreme pressure and tight deadlines.
• Have experience in QA / food processing.
• Have education related to food / quality.
• Are familiar with microbiological testing, laboratory procedures and equipment.
• Have post-secondary education.
