Position Summary
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing all quality control activities withing Magellan Aerospace, Winnipeg. Responsible to manage QC Supervisors and SPC personnel. Will ensure that appropriate skill levels and product knowledge is maintained within the inspection team. Additionally, this position will drive continuous improvement efforts and efficiency improvements.

Position Summary
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing all quality control activities withing Magellan Aerospace, Winnipeg. Responsible to manage QC Supervisors and SPC personnel. Will ensure that appropriate skill levels and product knowledge is maintained within the inspection team. Additionally, this position will drive continuous improvement efforts and efficiency improvements.
Essential Responsibilities
- Providing Quality Personnel support to all manufacturing operations and adherence to quality, cost and schedule requirements;
- Maintaining and managing required skill and product knowledge levels within the inspection personnel group;
- Maintaining and managing the inspector training program;
- Responsible for the supervision of Quality Control Supervisors, and SPC personnel;
- Promoting continuous improvement initiatives related to inspection and manufacturing processes;
- Promoting new inspection technologies and processes
- Post-secondary education in a relevant technical discipline (minimum of 4 years as an inspector in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment is considered equivalent to a technical diploma).
- 10-15 years experience in a technical position in the aerospace industry.
- Strong working knowledge of and experience with standard office equipment and software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong planning, organization and follow-up skills.
