Job Description

As an R&D Manager in Nokia's P&E Security Engineering team, you will lead diverse functional teams to advance and refine cutting-edge security solutions at the forefront of AI, machine learning, and cybersecurity. Your mission is to ensure high-quality, timely product delivery that enables secure, ultra-connected experiences in domains such as 5G, autonomous networks, and smart utilities. Collaborating closely with product managers, quality assurance, and services teams, you will navigate complex project requirements while fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Direct and manage cross-functional R&D teams to deliver secure, innovative cybersecurity solutions.
  • Supervise the creation and revision of product releases, ensuring compliance with quality standards and deadlines.
  • Cultivate a collaborative and creative environment that fosters growth, continuous improvement, and innovative thinking.
  • Set and manage team objectives, aligning efforts with corporate strategies and industry trends.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration with external stakeholders, including product managers and procurement teams.
  • Promote a culture of learning by providing opportunities for skill development and career advancement.
  • Assess and enhance processes to optimize software development and maintain a motivated workforce.
  • : Leverage expertise in cloud technologies and security to develop solutions that meet industry-specific requirements.

Key Skills And Experience

You have:

  • Minimum of 15 years of industry experience in telecom and/or security technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Proven experience in managing multi-site R&D teams
  • Strong understanding of software development processes and quality standards
  • Strong Knowledge in Security Products domin (e.g. EDR, IAM, PAM, Identity management, Firewall …)
  • Knowledge of Network Security and Telecom domain (e.g. 3GPP, TCP/IP, OSS, etc.)

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid compute architectures
  • Cross-cultural knowledge and a global mindset
  • Ability to interface with external stakeholders effectively
  • Any certification in Security area is an asset
  • Willingness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
