Ecolab, the leading global developer of premium cleaning, sanitizing and maintenance products and services for the hospitality, institutional and industrial markets is seeking a Receiver - Forklift Operator (Day Shift) for a 12-month Contract who will be responsible for receiving raw materials and packaging supplies for production. The position will also be responsible to perform any of the tasks within the production department, with the exception of mixing and bulk receiving/shipping.

- Receive incoming raw materials and packaging materials. Unload trucks by appointment as scheduled by the Procurement Team.
- Verify trailer number and shipping origin to appointment schedule.
- Verify truck is locked into dock locking system and ensure it is safe to drive into, inform driver not to move until given go ahead.
- Perform blind receiving count then verify against inbound bills of lading.
- Notify Supervisor of any discrepancies and request a second independent count as needed.
- Carry out a physical check of goods by receiving raw materials against purchase order and bill of lading; checking WHMIS stickers, net weights, physical appearance and matches quantity in relation to the Bill of Lading. Verify quality of products including ensuring labels are of good quality, date code is within acceptable shelf life, no damages are present, and pallet quality is acceptable. Advise Quality Control of any discrepancies.
- Communicate with purchasing regarding incoming raw materials and containers. Notify of any issues with transfer order or purchase order preventing receipt of goods.
- Remove goods using forklift, and depending on the size of the load, put away simultaneously or check the load on the dock. Organize and put away stock into warehouse location
- Apply handling unit labels to all material after verifying Ecolab’s material number and Bill of Lading.
- Complete receiving report making notes regarding shipment in terms of quality, accuracy and condition above.
- Input receiving in Ecolab Inventory System to make product available for production. Enter data into Inventory system including vendor returns, reversals, and cycle counts as required.
- Maintain daily records of returnable pallets, returnable drums, and pallet trucks. Contact vendors to arrange shipment of packaging materials, recycling and pallets.
- Issue and distribute discrepancy reports to purchasing and manufacturing.
- Maintain all related records and files accurately.
- Perform daily safety and operational checks. Inspect Forklift and complete inspection report before using. Note any defects and notify supervisor. Operate following rules and procedures for safe forklift operation.
- Ensure packaged products meet specification and requirements, in a manner that conforms with laws pertaining to transportation of chemicals, meets customer needs, and ensures that the product arrives at the destination intact.
- Ensure all loads moved are securely fastened to the pallet as appropriate.
- Perform battery changing as necessary to maintain operation of equipment.
- Perform other duties as required by business need or as assigned by leaders.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment. Follow all safety policies and procedures and wear all required PPEs.
- Plant location: Mississauga, ON (Eglington/Tomken)
- Work week and shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:30pm
- Contract Duration: 12 months
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Certified Forklift Driver (Counter balance and Reach)
- 3 to 5 years forklift experience in a manufacturing environment, experience in the chemical industry is preferred
- Ability to use basic math, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of whole numbers, fractions, percentages, and decimals
- No immigration sponsorship available for this role
- Must be able to lift/carry 50 pounds
- The position primarily involves working on the production plant floor.
- Work is carried out in a plant environment with continuous exposure to disagreeable elements of the plant such as noise, and exposure to chemicals. The role may be exposed to extreme temperatures and may be exposed to chemicals.

- Good computer skills, experience with SAP is an asset
- Ability to complete training and master skills that are required by position (including but not limited to Hazardous Material Safety and TDG training)
- Ability to understand and track safety, quality and productivity data, including run rates, fill weights, and averages
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience with Total Production Management (TPM) & Continuous Improvement Systems
- Ability to meet physical requirements of position
