Join Our Team as a Regional Director of Operations - LTC

Permanent Full-Time

Under the direction of the Director of Long-Term Care Operations, the Regional Director of Long-Term Care Operations assumes the responsibility and accountability of ensuring that the Regional Managers and homes under his/her supervision fulfill the corporate mandate for the overall operation of the Long-Term Care portfolio by providing quality care and meet the overall philosophy and mission of Jarlette Health Services.

Qualifications

  • Must possess a post-secondary degree from a program that is a minimum of three years in duration, or a post-secondary diploma in health or social services from a program minimum of two years in duration or be grandfathered as required under the Fixing Long Term Care Act, 2021, ss 76 (1) and Ontario Regulation ss. 249/22 (3,4)
  • Master's degree preferred
  • Must have successfully completed or is enrolled in a program in long-term care home administration or management that is a minimum of 100 hours in duration of instruction
  • A minimum of five years working experience in a managerial or supervisory experience in health or social services or
  • Prior experience in human resources and labour relations management preferred
  • Sound knowledge of financial accounting and budgets. Knowledge and education in dietary, health sciences, recreation and leisure or social services preferred.
  • A background in residence management including fire, health and Occupational Health and Safety standards and business and people administration.
  • A thorough knowledge of the Fixing Long-Term Care Act, 2021 and associated regulations and other pertinent provincial and municipal laws and regulations.
  • Familiarity with organization function, policies and procedures of long-term care as they relate to management
  • Demonstrated strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Professional competencies related to life-long learning, public relations and health environmental awareness
  • Possession of strong motivational, team building and time management skills.
  • Must be computer literate
  • Must possess valid Driver’s License and be willing to travel
