Responsibilities
As Regional Sales Manager, you will report to Lindsay Veling, National Sales Manager, and play a pivotal role in achieving the Professionnal Products Divison sales targets at SalonCentric within your assigned region in Ontario. You will partner closely with SalonCentric's sales team leads, coaching and guiding them to effectively manage their teams of sales representatives and store managers. - Sales Management: Achieve or exceed regional sales goals across designated product lines. Accurately forecast sales and manage budgets. Monitor sales performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and coach a team of sales representatives and store managers. Provide regular training and development opportunities. Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to their respective manager.
- Relationship Building: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key salon owners, managers, and stylists within the region. Represent L'Oréal PPD in a professional and positive manner.
- Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities within the region. Explore potential partnerships and expand distribution channels.
- Marketing Execution: Implement marketing programs and promotions at the regional level. Ensure effective execution of brand strategies and initiatives. Collaborate with marketing teams to tailor campaigns to the specific needs of the region.
- Market Analysis: Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs within the region. Identify potential challenges and opportunities and develop strategies to address them.
- Reporting and Administration: Provide regular sales reports and updates to senior management. Manage administrative tasks related to sales operations, including expense reports, budget tracking, and sales documentation.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong entrepreneurial spirit and a proven track record of success in sales management, ideally within the beauty or salon industry. They are a highly motivated and results-oriented individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sales Activity Planning & Execution: Proven ability to develop and execute effective sales plans.
- Business Plan Design: Experience in designing and implementing comprehensive business plans.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of commercial calculations and financial analysis.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Ability to leverage data and analytics to inform strategic decisions.
- Engaging Sales Techniques: Proven ability to effectively engage and sell to customers and retailers.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven track record of success in sales management, preferably within the beauty or salon industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
- Experience with L'Oréal products and brands.
- Existing network of contacts within the salon industry.
- Knowledge of the specific region and its market dynamics.
