YOUR IMPACT

OpenText is seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining connections between business and corporate Sales Applications Technology team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business systems analysis, Agile methodologies, and a passion for driving technological solutions that enhance business operations.

What The Role Offers

  • Lead the assessment of business needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to prioritize immediate business needs and recommend options, risks, and cost vs. benefits.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional development teams to elicit, document, and analyze business requirements for new projects, system enhancements, or process improvements.
  • Translate business requirements into detailed functional specifications for IT development teams.
  • Create and maintain process flowcharts, data models, and other visual representations to illustrate current and proposed solutions.
  • Assist in the design of technology solutions that align with business requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project objectives, status, and issues.
  • Document and present findings and recommendations to management concisely.
  • Work with various business and delivery teams ensuring good, solid, well-written requirements that allow IT delivery teams to create solutions that align with the requirements.
  • Collaborate with security and compliance teams to address vulnerabilities and mitigate risks.
  • Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solutions while actively contributing to process improvement and organizational efficiency.
  • Apply Agile methodologies to manage and deliver projects, including participating in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Work closely with Scrum Masters and Product Owners to prioritize and manage the product backlog, ensuring that user stories are well-defined and ready for development.

What You Need To Succeed

  • University Degree Preferred (preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology).
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, including a proven track record of successfully managing projects.
  • Possesses leading-edge technical knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
