As an Accountant reporting to the Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records by focusing primarily on bank reconciliations while also providing support in other key accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bank Reconciliation Focus:
  • Perform bank reconciliations for multiple accounts and currencies
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or outstanding items in a timely manner
  • Prepare and post journal entries related to bank reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate and organized records of all reconciliation activities
  • General Accounting Support:
  • Assist with month-end close procedures, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
  • Provide support in preparing financial statements and management reports
  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks as needed
  • Collaborate effectively with other team members to ensure smooth accounting operations

Qualifications

  • Active Certified Public Accountant CPA-CA designation
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role preferably in audit firm.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
  • Asset Hands-on experience with Sage 500 accounting software
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
