The Senior Cloud Azure Analyst is a key member of the infrastructure team, responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting both on-premises and cloud-based Microsoft Azure infrastructure. This role collaborates closely with infrastructure staff, architecture services, IT Security, and project delivery teams to support the design, discovery, exploration, delivery, and operations of new and existing technologies and capabilities that underpin Black & McDonald's business environment. The role contributes to the development of M365 services, networking components, cloud infrastructure, cloud policies, on-premises infrastructure and services, containerization and virtual environments, standards, and procedures, in alignment with the IT strategy and vision, while delivering quality projects focused on availability, security, privacy, and exceptional end-user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Directly participate in the delivery and ongoing support of M365 features and functionality, including OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Exchange, SharePoint Online, and maximizing value by rolling out features included with the organization's Microsoft Cloud Licensing components.
  • Lead efforts in securing and supporting the Azure Landing Zone and Azure Fabric.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Intune infrastructure, working closely with the endpoint team to build policies and features for device management.
  • Design, develop, and implement scalable and secure private, hybrid, and public cloud infrastructure solutions and cloud-native applications using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles.
  • Provide technical services, support, and security for WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, internal systems, cloud, and network infrastructure.
  • Create scripts and other automation techniques and tools to provide automated playbooks to simplify complex and repetitive tasks.
  • Collaborate with the team to remediate identified security risks and vulnerabilities on a priority basis.
  • Ensure new capabilities have associated Disaster Recovery plans.
  • Develop scripts related to the provisioning of services, user accounts, cloud platforms, and ongoing maintenance tasks introduced by projects.
  • Deploy and support best practice designs related to APIs.
  • Perform and verify preventative maintenance activities.
  • Ensure tickets assigned are completed according to the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Manage Active Directory (AD) and Azure account lifecycle and license management.
  • Maintain, support, and troubleshoot Active Directory and Azure Active Directory, including user objects, group policies, organizational units, and login scripts.
  • Manage Single Sign-On (SSO) and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) solutions.
  • Monitor Office365 and Azure Tenant for major changes or outages and proactively update Service Desk & IT Management.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Advanced knowledge of Intune Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM).
  • Advanced knowledge of Exchange Online, Azure Fabric, Azure Landing Zone, and Azure networking components.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting, AD Group Policies, Azure Conditional Access policies, and Certificates.
  • Working knowledge of IP networking, VPNs, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with maintaining application performance during transitions from on-premises to Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) public clouds (Azure).
  • Experience with cloud technologies and Software as a Service (SaaS) solutions integrations.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and escalate issues as needed.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
