So, if you're ready to roll up your sleeves and make a real impact, join us in transforming B.C.’s energy future.

In this role, you will:

  • Be the main point of contact for electrical and instrument engineering support at our two LNG plants.
  • Develop and maintain our electrical programs (Electrical Safety Plan, High-Voltage Lock Outs, Maintenance Procedures, Arc Flash Studies, Etc.) to ensure they remain up to date.
  • Be the subject matter expert to support our capital work including reviewing, modifying, and approving consultant’s designs.
  • Create maintenance plans and repair scopes, achieving a reliability greater than or equal to 99 per cent for all critical electric systems required for producing and storing LNG.
  • Take the lead on supporting electricians and instrument technicians in the plant. You’ll also be a leader for all electrical work within the engineering department.

What it takes:

  • A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university, plus a minimum of 10 years of recent and related experience in oil and gas, chemical, or a manufacturing facility.
  • A Professional Engineering designation with Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) or with another province that is eligible for registration with EGBC.
  • Currently have or willing to obtain your Technical Safety British Columbia Class A field safety representative certification.
  • An equivalent combination of education, related training, and experience may be considered.
  • A proven ability in applying risk matrices to justify your work plus experience in working on capital projects providing technical expertise and approval of electrical designs.
  • Exceptional communication and leadership skills to engage with stakeholders across the business as you provide electrical work focused on operations and maintenance.

In this role, you will have the option to participate in a flexible work program, enabling you to work from an approved flex location in British Columbia up to 85 days a year (equivalent to approximately two days a week), subject to business or operational needs.
