Position Summary...The Senior Manager, eCommerce Business Operations leads the strategy, coordination, and execution of eCommerce operations, with a focus on the third-party marketplace platform partners. This role involves developing strategic roadmaps, identifying opportunities, and leveraging insights to drive actionable plans. The ideal candidate is scrappy, proactive, and a self-starter, and must have a passion for fostering team development. The senior manager supports cross-functional teams, drives projects to completion on time and on budget, and develops business cases to secure resource investment. Additionally, they influence SVP-level leadership, collaborate with stakeholders, ensure legal, compliance, and financial scrutiny across the organization, and build partnerships with third-party vendors to align priorities and strategic direction to optimize marketplace performance and achieve KPIs.

What You'll Do...

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and own the strategy of the end-to-end eCommerce experience on the third-party marketplace platforms
  • Work collaboratively with Technology, Central Ops, Merchandising, and Program/Project Management to drive initiative objectives, launch new projects, and ensure alignment with business goals. Leverage feedback and data insights to review outcomes and drive continuous improvements for service excellence, retention/loyalty, cost efficiency, and topline growth
  • Act as a subject matter expert and leader in the business area, ensuring solutions leverage best practices seen in the industry today
  • Influence SVP-level leadership, work cross-functionally to build consensus, ensure common alignment on strategic direction, objectives, priorities, timelines, and budgets, and report on project development and success to senior leadership. Call out roadblocks, identify, and lead solutions to calibrate the project path
  • Own and manage third-party relationships and operations, setting expectations, challenging for improvements, and holding them accountable to deliver against KPIs
  • Coach and develop a team that supports the advocacy and mindset of innovative ideas, cross-functional collaboration, better ways to serve customers, and revenue-driving opportunities

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Project Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in strategy, account management, project/program management, or a related field, with at least 2 years of experience in a managerial role
  • Proven track record of successfully managing strategic projects and driving business growth

  • Excellent leadership and team-building skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a small team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and collaborate at various levels at the organization

  • Exceptional external and internal stakeholder management and negotiation skills
