Senior Project Manager

Arup

Date: 10 hours ago
City: Toronto, ON
Contract type: Full time
Arup’s purpose, shared values, and collaborative approach has set us apart for over 75 years, guiding how we shape a better world.

This is an exciting opportunity to help manage the delivery of a variety of digital projects and programmes for our internal clients within Arup and so we’re looking for an experienced Senior Project manager to work with the global Delivery team within Digital Technology.

At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Our strength comes from how we respect, share and connect our diverse experiences, perspectives and ideas. You will have the opportunity to do socially useful work that has meaning – to Arup, to your career, to our members and to the clients and communities we serve.

  • We’re fortunate to work with people at the top of their game in many fields of engineering expertise. And as an internal Project Delivery team, it’s our job to help support them with delivery of change in order the best outcomes are achieved for Arups clients.
  • That means we’re looking for someone with drive and energy who has experience of delivering digital projects and programs in a consulting environment, who is willing to roll up your sleeves and get stuck into some fun but challenging work.
  • We’ll help you to develop your career and experience by involving you in a range of technology rollout projects – from finance systems to project delivery solutions, from AI tools to Asset management - and as a Senior Project Manager.
  • For the successful candidate, you’ll already have some experience of working in a similar environment, and will know what it takes to deliver projects and programmes successfully. You’ll also be familiar with what it takes to connect and work with colleagues based in different countries.
  • This role is based in Toronto, but you’ll work with colleagues based around the world, so a typical day is… well….not very typical! But whether you’re involved in workshops, planning, delivery or strategy you’ll be part of a supportive team who want to ensure the best possible outcome for our colleagues, and our clients.

Is this role right for you?

  • Must have experience of successfully delivering complex projects and/or programmes within a global company.
  • This is a role where you will need to be able to get stuck in! It’ll be your responsibility to delivery projects or programmes in accordance with the firms globally agreed strategic objectives. You’ll also need to be willing to adjust your work schedule to liaise with colleagues based in other parts of the world when required.
  • Must be able to work on own initiative, to drive delivery of teams and build effective relationships with colleagues across Arup.
  • Just as importantly, must be comfortable working within a multidisciplinary team, where collaboration across disciplines is essential for the successful delivery of our projects.

Please note that all applicants must apply directly via the job portal. If this role is not quite what you are looking for but you are interested in other opportunities for a future with purpose, please sign up to our Talent Community where you will be kept up to date with roles suitable for you to shape a better world.
