Telecon is looking for an Experienced Security Technician to join our growing team in Moncton and surrounding region. This position offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits and flexible working arrangements and unlimited opportunities for career growth.
This is a full-time position and requires some travel throughout the Maritimes.
You Will Have The Opportunity To
- Troubleshoot and service alarm panels, CCTV systems, entry phone and Card access systems
- Locate and alleviate trouble with damaged equipment or wiring
- Perform maintenance and inspections on integrated security products
- Work on network equipment such as switches and head end components
- Testing and commissioning of security systems
- Installation and programming of Access Control, CCTV, and Intrusion systems
- Training of the end user.
- Install security system cabling as required
- High school diploma or electronic Technician Certificate Related Security Manufacturer certifications would be an asset
- Must have a minimum of 2+ years of Commercial security installation and/or service experience
- Proven experience managing small/medium size jobs
- Strong understanding of various commercial security system
- Understands control system products and applications
- Ability to read blueprints and drawings
- Understands and follows a floor plan
- Mechanical aptitude and be able to use hand and power tools
- Fluent English language written and verbal skills, demonstrated superior people and telephone skills, excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential
- The ability to meet deadlines and commitments and to adjust/adapt to new ideas and procedures is necessary
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and good abstract
- Ability to lift and pull 50 lbs.
