About the Role:
We are seeking a Journeyperson Carpenter to join our Shop Services team. This role supports field operations through the construction, repair and modification of shoring systems, formwork, and custom wood structures used in natural gas construction and maintenance. Working in a well-equipped shop environment, the successful candidate will also bring familiarity with wood CNC equipment and a working knowledge of AutoCAD and GibbsCAM. This is a unique opportunity to apply both hands-on carpentry skills and technical knowledge.

What You’ll Do:
- Constructing and modifying company structures, including buildings, toolboxes, cabinets, and workspaces.
- Building and maintaining safety-compliant shoring, scaffolding, and structural supports.
- Inspect and maintain shop tools and equipment, ensuring they are in top working condition.
- Repairing company property, including fences, walkways, and equipment affected by construction
- Performing a variety of carpentry-related tasks, including masonry, roofing, sheet metal work, concrete placement, and painting.
- Ensuring the selection and use of high-quality materials for all carpentry projects.
- Operating company vehicles and equipment as required.
- Grade 12 diploma or G.E.D.
- Journeyperson Carpenter Certificate from a recognized Apprenticeship Program
- Experience in industrial or commercial carpentry, particularly in construction, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, GibbsCAM, and wood CNC equipment
- Valid Alberta Class ‘5’ driver’s license.
- Strong understanding of shoring, scaffolding, and structural integrity standards.
- Comfort working at heights, climbing ladders, and operating construction tools.
