The Buying Customer Support Specialist role is an exciting opportunity to support the day-to-day functions of our Supply Chain business. You will also have the opportunity to develop connections with other areas of the business. The standard work schedule for this role is Tuesday through Saturday.

The Buying Customer Support Specialist role is an exciting opportunity to support the day-to-day functions of our Supply Chain business. You will also have the opportunity to develop connections with other areas of the business. The standard work schedule for this role is Tuesday through Saturday.
What you'll do:
- Follow through on tracking promotional activity, communicating out of stock / problem items, create and analyze shipments report gaps as required.
- Ensure execution on all Seasonal programs weekly including program inventory tracking ensuring complete distribution of all products and ad hoc requirements.
- Investigate, follow-up and resolve all issues relating to promotions including processing of firm shorts
- Act as a liaison between the Planning Group/Business Unit and the Supply Chain Group to maintain clear communication and positive relationships.
- Ensure the completeness of firm distributions in the buying system
- Support team members on the day-to-day operations of the department.
- Superior working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Access applications
- 1-3 years' experience in the Retail/Wholesale grocery/general merchandise business is essential
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written)
- Ability to deal with both internal and external customers in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Detail oriented and able to handle multiple priorities in a faced-paced environment.
- Knowledge of SAP and JDA would be an asset
- Post secondary education in Business, Economics, Marketing or Industrial Engineering
- Bilingual would be advantageous
