The Role

Senior Manager within the Client & Graphics Ecosystem Engineering organization.

You will lead and represent AMD as the main contact window for all engagement and co-engineering activities in assigned supporting ecosystems.

The Person

The candidate has prior experience managing a small team of engineers and demonstrates strong communication skills across all organizational levels, including executive leadership. They are a self-motivated learner capable of working independently, and proficiency in Mandarin is considered a valuable asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Management of ecosystem developments for independent hardware partners (IHV), usually with silicon providers located across the globe
  • Represent AMD has a technology Evangalist to our IHV ecosystem partners, in many cases you are the single point of contact the hardware partners have to AMD.
  • IHV partner support for both engineering and business engagements as required
  • Participate and drive industry standards in area of ecosystem expertise (IE: represent AMD in Bluetooth-Sig / PCI-SIG / MIPI / etc)
  • Desired Focus Areas with existing knowledge/expertise:
    • Connectivity (Bluetooth / Wi-Fi / 5G / Wired Ethernet)
    • USB Ecosystems - USB-PD / USB Devices / USB-C
    • Embedded Controller and software/firmware
  • Management of more junior ecosystem managers or sub teams within the ecosystem engineering organization
  • Assist team director for overall team management for day-to-day operations, with special focus on big initiatives

Preferred Experience/Skills

  • Minimum of 15 years of PC industry experience
  • Must have pre-existing knowledge for PC System architectures
  • Wide variety of skill sets desired including:
    • Silicon Design Knowledge
    • Software / Firmware knowledge
    • Product validation Knowledge
    • Understanding of product lifecycles from concept through end of life
    • Supply Chain
    • Product / Program management
    • Quality Assurance
  • Knowledge or Subject matter expert in any (or more than 1) of the following ecosystems:
    • Bluetooth devices
    • USB - including USB-C and USB-PD
    • Embedded Controllers
    • PC Firmware development / deployment
Academic Credentials: Master's degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science or similar discipline; Business degree (MBA or equivalent) is considered an asset.
