Sterilization Technician - Stratford Orthodontics

Stratford Orthodontics is looking for an enthusiastic Sterilization Technician to join our thriving practice in Stratford, Ontario. This is a perfect position in which you can start your orthodontic career!

We are seeking someone to cover maternity leave for approximately 12 months, with the potential for continued employment on a full time or part time basis for the right candidate!

Your Role

As a Sterilization Technician, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating positive patient experiences and driving our practice’s success. Responsibilities include:

• Facilitate patient flow by cleaning and resetting clinic chairs as efficiently as possible.
• Maintain sterilization log.
• Follow a monthly maintenance schedule.
• Regularly inspect the clinic (including the brushing stations) and make sure all areas are clean, organized and stocked.
• Be available to throw away, disinfect or replace anything that has fallen on the floor.
• Disposal of garbage as needed.
• Consistently keep sterilization process moving, as the flow of instruments doesn’t stop.
• Actively participate in staff meetings.
• Work cooperatively with fellow team members.
• Other duties as assigned.
  
  
  

About You

• Experience within a dental/medical clinical setting is an asset.
• Completion of MOH sterilization course
• Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills (verbal and written), with a proven ability to build strong relationships and rapport with patients, parents, doctors, fellow team members and the community.
• Keen attention-to-detail and time management skills.
