Your tasks at a glance

  • You will become a specialist of the tools and technologies used in intraocular and LASIK procedures.
  • You are the person the surgeon relies on to prepare the room and its tools before the procedures.
  • You always find the right words to support and reassure the patient if necessary.
  • You thrive in a team environment and know by heart the actions to take to coordinate and support each intervention.
  • You are comfortable working on your feet in the operating room.
  • You are a stickler for details and work with precision and accuracy.
  • You will be cross-trained in other technical roles such as Clinical Assistant and Receptionist.

  • You have excellent communication skills in English.
  • You find it easy to connect with others and quickly build trust.
  • You have a sense of responsibility and take your role seriously.
  • You have a definite interest in the field of health and in helping others.
  • You are comfortable with computers, technology, and Microsoft 365 (knowledge of EMR systems is an asset).
  • Your experience in the healthcare field is considered an asset (Optometric Assistant, Orderly, Dental Assistant, Pharmacy Lab Technician, Sterilization Assistant, Animal Health Technician, Veterinary Assistant, Medical Device Reprocessing Technician, etc.).
  • Schedule: You are available to work Monday to Friday, 8:00 am–4:00 pm (with flexibility to start earlier on surgery days), and Saturdays on a rotating basis.
  • Required: You are comfortable traveling between our LASIK MD South, LASIK MD North West & King LASIK locations.
