Systems Administrator
Position Description
As part of the Digital Security and Infrastructure team, the Systems Administrator is responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration and support of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure technologies for all OEC businesses. This includes servers, storage platforms, network connectivity infrastructure, datacenter technologies, systems integration, security hardening, vulnerability and patch management, monitoring, and maintenance.
The Systems Administrator will participate in key innovation initiatives, demonstrating technical knowledge and an understanding of disruptors to develop and leverage innovative solutions for the organization. The individual will support and maintain multiple cyber security and infrastructure solutions, mitigate existing and emerging cyber security risks and advance best practices to position OEC as leader in cyber risk mitigation.
This role requires strong technical hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure solutions, specifically relating to the implementation and support of diverse hybrid datacenter technologies and services.

Systems Administrator
Position Description
As part of the Digital Security and Infrastructure team, the Systems Administrator is responsible for the provisioning, installation, configuration and support of on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure technologies for all OEC businesses. This includes servers, storage platforms, network connectivity infrastructure, datacenter technologies, systems integration, security hardening, vulnerability and patch management, monitoring, and maintenance.
The Systems Administrator will participate in key innovation initiatives, demonstrating technical knowledge and an understanding of disruptors to develop and leverage innovative solutions for the organization. The individual will support and maintain multiple cyber security and infrastructure solutions, mitigate existing and emerging cyber security risks and advance best practices to position OEC as leader in cyber risk mitigation.
This role requires strong technical hands-on experience with enterprise infrastructure solutions, specifically relating to the implementation and support of diverse hybrid datacenter technologies and services.
Responsibilities
- Daily operational support of Microsoft Windows Servers OS (including SSL certificate management, OS security hardening and performance monitoring), Enterprise Active Directory/Entra (including groups and permissions, GPOs management and shell scripting), Microsoft Azure/M365 administration, Microsoft HyperV and VMWare ESXi servers virtualization, Cisco network connectivity (LAN/WAN/WLAN) and servers Backup/Restore.
- Responsible for the prevention, monitoring and response to information/data breaches and cyber-attacks, assisting with cyber security incident investigations and technical risk assessments.
- Ensure datacenter servers, storage and network communication services operate within pre-defined levels and manage all proactive tuning and maintenance activities.
- Provide insights and support for technology evaluation, vendor management, hardware and software asset management, maintenance and licensing compliance.
- Recommend, plan, test and execute changes and modifications to infrastructure technologies to improve efficiency, reliability and performance.
- Develop and maintain appropriate levels of documentation for datacenter infrastructure services, systems and related components, cyber security controls, operational processes and procedures, project files, ensuring effective protection and integrity of organizational data and assets.
- Maintain effective infrastructure technologies, cyber security standards, internal processing controls and audit controls.
- Responsible for the servers, storage and network capacity planning and performance tuning, as well as the development and modifications of the datacenter server architecture, practices and procedures.
- Provide advice, consultation and quotes, by gathering requirements, researching solutions and evaluate alternatives.
- University/College degree in a relevant field of study (Computer Science/Engineering/Systems)
- Minimum two technical certifications in servers and network support (Microsoft, Cisco, Cyber Security, ITIL)
- Minimum 5 years relevant hands-on experience in planning and implementation role on supporting multi-vendor enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills on Microsoft Servers operating systems, Datacenter Virtualization platforms and Cisco Networking technologies.
- Strong knowledge of networking and security concepts focused on troubleshooting and diagnosis.
- Relevant experience in implementing enterprise datacenter infrastructure solutions using Microsoft Window Servers 2019/2022 OS, Azure M365, Cisco Firewalls, Routers, Switches and WLAN controllers, VMware and Dell/VXRail technologies.
- Strong passion for exploring new ways to create innovation through technology, with a focus on infrastructure hardware/cloud-based technologies and cyber security services.
- Strong planning, analytical and troubleshooting experience with a clear focus on the delivery of excellent customer service.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks.
- A passion for working on and explaining technical concepts in an understandable language to customers.
