About the Role:

The Western Ottawa Community Resource Centre (WOCRC) is seeking a dedicated and experienced Team Manager to lead our Gender-Based Violence and Counselling & Community Response programs. This includes oversight of GBV counselling, Transitional Housing Support, Children Who Witness, Community Development, and Child & Youth Strategy. You will supervise multidisciplinary teams, ensure quality service delivery, and work collaboratively with community partners to meet client needs across multiple service locations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning, coordination, and delivery of GBV and community response programs, ensuring high standards of care and service alignment with WOCRC’s mission.
  • Provide supervision and performance management for staff, students, and volunteers across multiple program areas and service locations.
  • Support clinical supervision processes and promote trauma-informed, client-centered practices.
  • Monitor and manage program budgets, authorize expenditures, and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Respond to client feedback and resolve service issues as needed.
  • Facilitate regular team meetings, support collaboration, and foster a respectful and inclusive team environment.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve service integration and client care coordination.
  • Represent WOCRC on community committees and working groups to address systemic issues and promote health equity.
  • Oversee policy and procedure development, participate in program evaluation, and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Health, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience in health or social services
  • Experience in GBV support services, clinical supervision, and working with diverse communities
  • Strong knowledge of the Child and Family Services Act, Mental Health Act, and community development frameworks
  • Proven leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle, and ability to work from multiple sites
  • Fluency in English required; French and other languages considered assets
