We're looking for a dedicated and motivated Transport Agent to support our logistics team! This role is essential to ensure that our operations run smoothly, efficiently and always one step ahead!

What You Will Accomplish With Us

  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers, transportation providers, and internal stakeholders to keep everyone informed about shipment status and any potential issues.
  • Prepare transport quotes on demand
  • Handle the necessary paperwork and documentation related to inbound shipments, including customs documentation, bills of lading, and shipping manifests.
  • Use tracking systems and tools to monitor the progress of inbound shipments, addressing any delays or issues that may arise during transit.
  • Ensure that all transportation activities comply with relevant regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
  • Quickly address and resolve any issues or disruptions in the inbound transportation process, such as delays, damages, or shortages.
  • Optimize transportation costs by negotiating favorable rates with carriers, consolidating shipments when possible, and implementing cost-effective transportation strategies.
  • Analyze transportation data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and cost-saving opportunities. Use this information to make informed decisions and streamline processes.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external stakeholders, addressing inquiries and ensuring a positive experience throughout the inbound transportation process.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the inbound transportation function.

What You Bring To Our Team

  • Demonstrated experience in maritime and road transport;
  • AEC in transportation logistics or equivalent;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Excel at advanced level;
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills;
  • Bilingualism (French / English) - Need to interact on a regular basis with our internal and/or external Master Group collaborators across the country. After evaluation, it has been determined that no other solution can fulfill these professional obligations.

Annual base salary: 50000$ to 70000$

Additional remuneration: Annual bonus

The final salary will be determined according to the candidate's skills and experience, in compliance with current regulations.
