Summary
To analyze product failures that have been placed into MRB, diagnose the issue, document and propose the repair. To provide a first point of contact to the production team for technical support and escalate obstacles or challenges as required.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshooting
manufacturing process more efficient and effective (i.e. reducing waste, 1piece flow, 5s, lean
tools etc.).
Skills: Strong Planning Skills, Detail Driven, Excellent Oral and Written Communication Skills, Leadership, Excellent Organizational Skills, Assertiveness, Problem Solving Skills, Goal driven, Dynamic thinker.
Education: Post-secondary diploma/degree in Electronics or Mechanical discipline
Experience: 3-5yrs experience as an Electronics/Electrical or Mechanical Technologist
Or 5+ yrs in a technical leadership role
Knowledge (technical/practical/managerial)-

Summary

Key Responsibilities
Troubleshooting
- Provide daily support to manufacturing team in the troubleshooting, repair and solutions to the
- Work with Manufacturing team, Supply Chain & Quality to maintain and report all quality
- Work closely with Manufacturing team, Process Engineer & related engineering departments to
manufacturing process more efficient and effective (i.e. reducing waste, 1piece flow, 5s, lean
tools etc.).
- Perform Root Cause analysis & propose repair for production
- Organize & maintain the troubleshooting area at the 1034 Location
- Performing other duties within skill level may be required.
- Troubleshooting of customer returns
- Creating Failure analysis’s
- Troubleshooting PCBA’s from warranty returns
- Perform Root Cause analysis
- Participate as a major contributor in driving a safety conscious culture within SKF.
- Educate and mentor new employees on safe work practices and observations
- Mentor and train employees on processes, procedures, production tools etc.
- Provide technical production support to Engineering.
- Provide technical support to new employees.
- Participate in the improvement of work instructions creating improved safety.
- Maintenance Management - Ensure that Preventive and Corrective of Troubleshooting Equipment is being performed and scheduled correctly.
- Keeping Troubleshooting tools & equipment in good working order in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations &/or SKF’s requirements.
- Perform all activities in compliance with the SKF Code of Conduct, the group's EHS policy and Quality Management System.

- Knowledge of production methods, inputs, outputs, workflow, and industrial processes including safety, quality control and costs that have effects on the business.
- ISO 9001:2015 Quality management principles
- Proficient in Microsoft tools excel, outlook, word, power point etc.
- Manufacturing tools & principles (Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, Single Point Lesson, 5s, JIT, Takt time etc.)
- Diverse technical understanding of electronic, mechanical and mechatronics basics
