Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Operations Manager to lead and optimize our apparel manufacturing warehouse and logistics operations. This role combines strategic and hands-on responsibilities, overseeing day-to-day warehouse activities, inventory control, shipping/receiving, production support, and supply chain coordination. The ideal candidate has experience in warehouse management, operations, and logistics ideally within the fashion, apparel, or textile industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations:
- Manage warehouse layout, storage, and organization to maximize space and efficiency
- Supervise receiving, picking, packing, and shipping processes
- Implement and enforce health, safety, and cleanliness standards
Inventory & Supply Chain:
- Maintain accurate inventory records; conduct regular audits and cycle counts
- Coordinate with procurement, production, and fulfillment teams to manage stock levels
- Develop and track KPIs for inventory accuracy, order turnaround, and warehouse efficiency
- Liaise with external logistics providers, freight forwarders, and carriers
Operations Management:
- Support daily production operations, ensuring seamless coordination between warehouse and manufacturing
- Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements
- Develop and execute warehouse SOPs (standard operating procedures)
- Ensure operational compliance with internal policies and external regulations
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage warehouse staff, including training, scheduling, and performance management
- Foster a positive, accountable, and safety-first work environment
- Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as Production, Sales, and Customer Service
Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in warehouse, logistics, or operations management (apparel or manufacturing preferred)
- Strong knowledge of inventory systems and warehouse management software
- Experience managing teams and developing operational processes
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills
- Familiarity with EDI, shipping platforms, and third-party logistics providers
- Understanding of apparel supply chain, manufacturing, and quality control is an asset
- Forklift certification or knowledge of warehouse equipment is a plus
Working Conditions:
- Fast-paced, hands-on environment in a warehouse/production setting
- Some lifting and physical work required
- Occasional evening or weekend work during peak production or shipment periods
