Windows 11 Upgrade & Deployment Technician, Contract– Hybrid (Markham, ON)

Role Summary

We are looking to hire a Technical Support Analyst to join our Markham team on a 3 month + contract basis. The main purpose of this role is to perform duties related to a Windows 11 upgrade and deployment. Applicants should work well in a fast paced environment and have proven organizational, prioritization and interpersonal skills.

Please note that the successful applicant will be required to undergo a criminal background check as a condition of employment.

Responsibilities

• Process support requests; maintaining accountability and ownership of incident until resolved
• Install, configure, and maintain computer workstations and servers within a Microsoft Windows environment.
• Install, configure and maintain peripherals and network hardware.
• Document configurations and operating standards and practices.
• Implement and monitor security policies.
• Perform data backup and recovery.
• Perform hardware and software upgrades as required.
• Configure and troubleshoot corporate email (Exchange)
• Miscellaneous - other duties as required
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum grade 12 education, with preference given to individuals with post-secondary IT diploma/degree.
• 1-3 years of related industry experience with upgrade and deployment
• Solid understanding of recent or latest version of Microsoft Windows (10/11)
• Active Directory user and group administration
• Experience troubleshooting computer hardware
• Experience with email administration (Exchange, O365) an asset
• Familiarity with Symantec suite of security software an asset
• Hire will be required to work out of Markham location (2-3x per week and 5 days per week during initial training period).
