DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive new business by sourcing and securing accounts through prospecting, cold calling, and referrals, acting as the first point of contact for new customers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and industry partners to support long-term growth and retention.
  • Work closely with the Sales Manager to identify opportunities and execute strategies to increase sales and market presence.
  • Support sales growth by coaching, mentoring, and motivating team members.
  • Promote and sell Islands West products while delivering a high level of customer service and satisfaction.
  • Process sales orders and provide troubleshooting support to ensure timely and accurate service delivery.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, supply, and product quality, and share insights with the Sales Team.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and Fresh Direct business units to ensure alignment and effective customer support.
  • Maintain accurate records and provide regular reporting on sales activities, customer visits, and territory performance.
  • Represent Islands West with professionalism and contribute to a positive team environment.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2–5 years of experience in Sales, Business Development, Foodservice, Retail, or Hospitality.
  • Post-secondary education in Business or equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A solutions-driven mindset with the ability to problem-solve and achieve results.
  • Previous experience coaching or supporting sales team members is an asset.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and follow-up skills.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
