Role description:
Mobility Canada is looking for a Cost Contoller to join our growing project controls team in the Vancouver office. The successful candidate will prepare cost reports for senior management, advise management of variation to budget and provide estimated costs to complete. This role will also assist in processing project change notices, maintain change logs, and develop management reports at an appropriate level of detail
Role accountabilities:
In this role you will process and verify invoices in a timely and accurate manner, while monitoring accounts receivable and payable to support effective financial control across projects. You will also classify costs accurately and help ensure financial records are complete, reliable, and maintained to a high standard.
As part of this position, you will assist with financial reporting requirements, including supporting month-end and year-end activities as needed. Your contribution will help maintain the accuracy of project financial data and support reporting processes that enable effective project and business decision-making.
In this capacity, you will assist in preparing estimates for minor scopes of work for review by the Project Manager, while also maintaining project-related records, including contracts and change orders. Working closely with the wider project controls team, you will identify and help resolve project control issues, proposing practical solutions to support successful project

The salary range for this position is $64,000 - $97,200. The base salary represents Arcadis’ hiring range for this position. Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as location, skills, experience, and qualification for the role.

Qualifications & Experience:
- 2-3 years experience in quantity surveying or project controls
- Knowledge of scheduling software, namely Primavera (P6) and an ability to assess the cost and schedule impacts of design or construction changes and associated cost increases and or schedule slippages
- Proven ability to work in a team environment demonstrating excellent communication skills
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy
