Position Overview: The Crater is responsible for appropriately repackaging parts for shipment to IMW customers. This will involve verifying that packaging meets current branding specifications while placing an emphasis on efficiency and quality. The Junior Packaging Technician works directly with the Supply Chain Team to ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely manner. Other responsibilities may include assisting with inventory counts and other duties as requested.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring that all products are packaged/repackaged to current specifications.
• Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or equipment.
• Responsible for periodic cycle counts are completed and the results for the cycle count are recorded.
• Responsible for assisting in inventory counts.
• Be punctual and available for a minimum of 24 hours a week.
• Perform work in accordance with IMW documented policies and procedures.
• Complete all applicable quality records.
  
  

Qualifications

Education:

• High School Diploma or equivalency required.
  
  

Experience

• ERP know how and/or computer knowledge preferred.
• Experience with hand tools an asset.
  
  

Physical

• Good spatial analysis capability for packaging required.
• Employee may be exposed to dust, chemicals and high levels of noise.
• Employee may be exposed to uncomfortable work settings; may have long combinations of standing, crouching, or sitting.
• Repetitive tasks within a fast-paced environment.
• Overtime as required.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
